National Poetry Library - World's First Instagram Poetry exhibition

Launched yesterday at a very lively and packed event, the National Poetry Library at the Southbank Centre is staging the world's first Instagram poetry exhibition: featuring 27 still image poems and 15 filmpoem winners from over 1,000 submissions to its competition. I really enjoyed the three live readings as well as the other work on show. It runs until 1st July 2018, the exhibition is free and open Tuesday to Sunday, 11am - 8pm.

My piece included in the exhibition is 'Being and being empty'

1st Newlyn International Film Festival

Sadly I wasn't able to make the trip down to Cornwall for the Newlyn Film Festival. I would have loved to have been able to hear Lucy English talk about her Book of Hours project as well as see some of the other films and talks. However, I am proud to say that Blue Flash Flash was screened in the Poetry Film category, and also the exciting news that I am about to become one of the filmmakers for the Book of Hours project which is nearing its completion date in October.
