Pressure front
2010.
Concerned with the continual pressure exerted on consumers by shops and magazines to have the latest fashions and continually consume more and more. This is seen by many as positive for economic growth but are these consumer patterns ultimately affecting weather patterns and the climate? Our consumer habits have a price to pay in carbon footprint. We should be aiming to buy and replace things only when they are worn out and otherwise useless or unrepairable, and look for ways in which to minimise what we consume.
