The premiere of the Poetry + Video curated programme took place in May in Murwillumbah, Australia.
An hour-long collection, put together by curator Marie Craven, it surveys diverse contemporary expressions of this hybrid form. A wide range of approaches includes: screen adaptations of page poetry, prose poetry, poetry from found text and media, animations, poetic cinema, text-on-screen, and spoken word.
I am taking on the role of UK manager, and am currently seeking UK venues to screen the programme.
So pleased and excited to announce that my film of Natalie Whittaker's poem 'Moss' recently won third prize in the Oxford Brookes Poetry Centre and Ignition Press poetry film competition.
Congratulations to the other prize winners Gabrielle Turner and Marie Craven for their wonderful films of Patrick James Errington's poem Half Measures.
A screening event is planned for October.
